Feel good

Sometimes, you just got to pick yourself up.

I want to pick myself up, so here's a (vain) list of 22 things why I am special. Twenty two cause well. You know. I'm 22 years old.

So if like. You're not into me puji-ing myself  or reading a long (but really interesting) post you can skip it :p

#1 I can eat like nobody's business, and its hard for me to gain weight. :] But I need to gain weight. Because I am unfortunately underweight. So sometimes it's difficult you know, when I eat and it does show, it shows in my face. Not like...go to places where I want it to go. But then again, I am glad I can eat and eat and eat and eat! I <3 to eat.

#2 I am small. Sure I find it hard to cari baju that's my size, BUT! You know. People think I'm young cause of my size. And I can run around the playground and pretend I'm 12. And up till I think I was 18, when I went to makan with family, I still got charged as CHILD. See? I help save money.

#3 I live near Tg. Aru beach. Okay la not la I special cause of this but I got umm. Extra. Like... You know? Have you seen the sunsets there?! Homaigoodness. To die for. So pretty. It's been such a long time since I've seen one. Don't believe la tu how cantik it is. Nah, cuba you see!

Rindunya.

#4 I THINK I can dance.  Well, for fun, not professionally. Although how I dream of being able to.......

#5 I may be stubborn. But that just means I'm strong willed. Yeeaah. Give me some credit. I'm not stubborn ALL the live long day. Heh.

#6 I am daughter to parents whom may be so ARGHHH sometimes but they always have their reasons. And I'm the one daughter that cooks for the family. And the one daughter who took over making kuih Raya. And also pumpkin cake yang sedap. Which makes me extra extra extra special.

On the way back from Kudat Syawal 2011
#7 I found out that my birthday according to the Hijri calendar is on the 6th of Syawal. THEREFORE. My birthday is on the 6th day of raya, which is impossible for anyone to forget :D And, I am already 23. If use that calendar la. *secretly in denial*

#8 When I was younger, I entered a singing competition for Christmas organized by my computer class. (Yes, I went to computer classes. It was so much fun) And Abang Shaun yang jahat gila scared me made me cry right before I had to go up the stage. And well, you guessed it. I sang Que Sera Sera while nangis teresak-esak. "Que seraaa *sobsob* seraaaaa. Whatever will beeee *sobsob* will beeee". I remember practising it with Papa. Haha now that I think of it whyyy lah did I join. I got third place, by the way if you're wondering. Okay la so what la if it is hadiah kesian. The important thing is I did it anyway. :P

#9 Also, when I was younger, like my tadika Tunasari days, I was the rapper! Shit. Hahahaha. Rap as in betul betul rap okay? We were doing some turtle awareness thingy and we were like "SAVE THE TURTLE! SAVE THE TURTLE!" and I had my friends dancing (all of us dressed like turtles. Grey-ish shiny jumpsuits with a turtle shell on our backs. For real!). Then, my first line was "We are the children of Tunasari!" Oh God punya la trip haha! I guess when you grow older all your guts just hilang.

#10 I think I was an accidental baby. Hoho. But but buuutt. Mummy say, bila she pregnant with me, she say I am for "bikin main-main, kasi kawan" dia bilang. Nah. Memang betul pun. I am her lamb, everywhere she went I was sure to go. I'm loved. :]

#11 I managed to ditch bit by bit the habit of procrastinating! That is quite a feat! I used to think I function well under pressure, but perhaps I function even better with more time.

#12 I am special because I have a Diploma before I go into my Degree, which gives me an edge kind of. You know. Like. Ya. It really does help. A lot.

#13 I was part of the 2004 SFC choir team who were National champs! Woohoo! The story was, I was only called on to join to be a backup/pelapis for pianist. Then. They tidak cukup orang? Haha. I know la I was like not first choice or anything, but still! It was a moment so proud. I love SFC. Like. My school spirit is so tinggi. Then after that win we got so many invites to perform sini sana. And plus free food. Ooooh. Hehe.

This was in The Star! There I am tuu di the paling left di depan. Oh wow.
#14 I made two really good speeches (at least that was what I was told) so far in my whole lifetime. One was during my secondary school graduation "pride and joy" and the other was during Abang Shaun and Kak Nurul's wedding dinner in 2008.

#15 I have/had two cats that I really loved and love me back (cheh kununnn) One, Bimbo. My blue-eyed silly beauty who would also minta my jagung. And two, Jojo Hamau Gaga The Cat. Who was and still is an excellent friend and teman and the nakalest and the silliest but has the cutest nose and pink cushion paws. Naaaw.

Jojo & Bimbo :')
#16 I have gigi satu. You have? Don't have kan. Naah. Special la jadi dia. Let me show you definition of gigi satu.

See the red arrow pointing to my gigi. That is my gigi satu. It makes me smile in two different ways depending what side my face is facing. But! I've learned to accept.
#17 I am Nanay (auntie) to these two boys! One monkey jumping on the bed and one yet to be known.... Izzarif a.k.a IZZY!! and Ryan Irfan a.k.a Baby Ryan! Okay I don't have Ryan's picture in my laptop. But you all know Izzy :D

Can you feel his ke-jajal-an?

#18 When I turned 18, I spent my birthday with the Bons at Hyatt courtesy of Mummy dearest. I felt special cause my best friends went to all the trouble and made me a baju so pretty! Cuba you see...
See! The pretty butterfly!
#19 I am able to take criticism and am patient. Alamak perasannya. Hahaha! Betul la. Although I may be like ^*@(#D)*@^! in my heart, but I will accept what you say with open arms. Yes, I do realise things and though it takes A LOT for me to finally take action, but in the end I do it. I take that step to change what needs to be changed.

#20 I have the greatest friends anyone could ask for. Serious. We may not go on holidays together, or live nearby or meet all the time or so rich we buy gifts for each other. But I sure know that they mean so much to me!

See me embracing my gigi satu. Eh. Heh. Love you all!
#21 I feel special because you make me feel special. And so the best penceria, tukang make silly lame jokes, selalu dowan to laugh at my jokes, pembully, tukang fix barang, teman makan, teman play monopoly (or any games for that fact) sampai gaduh, teman jalan-jalan, teman buat kerja bodoh, and segalanya yang happy in my life. ALLY my love! <3

The paling best day and best place with the best person. Mau go lagi. Rindunya.

#22 I am special cause just cause I am! God created me as one of a kind. He made me patient, a crybaby, silly, clumsy, pretty, hot. He gave me a good brain and a good heart. He gave me good health, great family, great friends. And I'm limited edition! No me, no more la sudah! Satu seja Hana Nazsulaeeqa Harun di dunia. :)

If you made it this far! Yay! Thanks heee heee!

Kita semua special in our own silly little weird way. We just need to take a sec, pause and take it all in and say to ourselves "HOWAU! I'm so great." It's really okay you know to be perasan sekali sekala. We all do it, feel good doing it, so... why not, right?

Why are you special? :)

BYE!!
ps: I love you.

Just Keep Swimming

Swimming swimming swimming...

Unfortunately this post has nothing to do with swimming.

It's been almost a good month since I've been able to blog, so quick updates:

I finished my SIXTH semester! I am so relieved.

I finished reading Khaled Hosseini's Kite Runner. Very very visual. And a book that's hard to put down. My favourite quote "Children aren't colouring books. You can't just paint them with your favourite colour," Thanks Reggie my Love.

I managed to survive the last few hectic weeks of the semester.

My laptop was 'sick' for more than a week. I was laptopless for that period.

Had to pay 'medical fees' for my laptop. Not cheap.

Coughed and wheezed one night, the next day had difficulty breathing. I thought my athsma came back. But Alhamdulillah no.

...or maybe i had to check the same day I had difficulty breathing?

Went to see Rianah's SUPER HUGE Puncak Alam campus.

Lega that Ally knows. :)

1st year Anniversary at Get Crafty on July 31st! (big accomplishment, never thought I'd stick to a job that long - and still going on strong)

Was offered a full-time job. Most prolly in KK. Should I?

Woke up 4.30 in the morning to complete an assignment and was SO WORTH IT. Kan Mel?

Actually completed an assignment without doing it last-minutely! (another big accomplishment- like...extremely big.)

most importantly,
I Tara-ra-ra Boom-di-ay-ed

And I just felt like letaking gambars of my 2009.

She is as vain as ever, but I love her :p

Ya lah, time ni baru dapat camera. Testing-testing la kunun. This is the "shake it" effect. ...manada effect-effect la gambar ni blur. Haha.

"Thumbs Up!". How many people out there can do this? Raise their feet! Mel, don't marah kay.

I see you next week Best Friend! Yayyy!

She turned 18 yesterday! Be good Min! They look so cina. Not that its a bad thing.

Ally's 20th birthday makan-makan at Cozy Corner :) I tau tu when I mau naik the car Ally said my perut buncit. :p

Mesti dia rasa dia cool dengan PSP baru dia. Cis. Hahaha :D Suddenly teringat how Zetty put Eyemo on Ally. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Look! AmBank sponsored the Camels at Zoo Negara! Which mesti they confused kan, why their "desert" ada grass...

Eisyraff! Urang bilang smile tingu camera dia smile fake tingu toy car. Hmph.

Reggie and KiKi at Petrosains! KiKi leaving soon! :( :(

Eisyraff = Game = Eisyraff

He called me to ask whether I had Aunty Yana's DS. Which I didn't have! Kesian dia.

Research Seminarrr! Mr Faisal said "I already cabut undi for you, you're first" SHEESH.

Dinosaur punya perhimpunan. Ready to attack!

So the assignment we had to do for News Writing was the photojournalism assignment. Yeah, the one where we had to wake up vereh vereh earleh. Tapi tidak apa lah, in the end semuanya worth it. Syed Hafiz bin Bedut's mum was very cooperative and everything went just perfectly.

Hadn't had enough sleep. Before, after that. Trying to catch up on it.

Oh the lovely holy month of Ramadhan is finally here. Semoga bulan mulia ini membawa rahmat kepada kita semua! :) You just get super excited when this month comes. Either you're excited for Raya, or excited for sungkai, or excited to go bazaar. You're just always excited. Or maybe it's just me. Heh.

I think I need to have new hair. Tidak kira lah cut kaaa, trim kaaa, dye kaaa. Cause...I think my hair is bored. And my hair is boring. And it's going to be raya so new hair is needed. *alasan*

Happy Puasa to all Muslimin and Muslimat! (betul ka tu?)

Blog needs a makeover!

Sometimes you're there, sometimes...you're not.
lovelovelove,
Nazie.

Cough cough

You are not going to ruin my day cough! Stay awaaaay *drinks ubat batuk yang sangat tidak sedap* Blek!

Pertama-tama sekali, thanks Mel for lending me broadband. I am so Internet deprived. Haaahaaa.

Somebody's cooking something and it smellz gooood. I long for home-cooked meals. Haven't had enough of it when I was back home, oh wanginya siapa yang masak ni? Mintaaaa.

Okay remember how much I've been wanting to upload pictures? I want to, but I'm just terribly MALAS. Cause I'm already comfortably on my bed, too lazy to get up. Besides, I've gotta clean up my hard disk before transferring it to my lappie.

So...

Yesterday I turned 20.

Woke up dark and early (too early, it was still dark, so ya) I went to KJ LRT, took the packed LRT without seats to Sentral, had breakfast, waited for the car, then off we went to UM hospital. Was there for about 2 hours plus, we had masks on (and looked like silly ninjas) but oh well I don't know you anyway plus you won't even remember me.

Gosh I wish they would do something about UM. It's just too packed!

After that we went for a short toilet break at Sut's place - I don't think you would want to enter UM's "AWAM" toilet. It reeked.

I caught a bit of Gulong Ng Palad, which by the way I'll be tuning in to from now onwards. THANK YOU TV 2 FOR THIS. I'm certain I've seen it before, but I just couldn't remember how the story went.

After that and having to decline Auntie's offer for hot tea we left for One Utama!

I contemplated and Chili's was my definite choice. Probably I was being too tamak, I ordered Tostadas Chips, and Triple Play, and Mushroom Jack Fajitas! Minta puji kan? Hey, but I only asked for warm water. Haha.

As I said, I was being too tamak, I couldn't finish it, but it's okay ba, can tapau kan. We sorta kinda buyuk-ed, the chicken for the Mushroom Jack Fajitas was partly raw. So we ate all that we could, then returned it to them and we got it free! At the end of the meal, what would've been a lunch that would've cost RM 100, cost only RM50.50. Yay for savings! Hahaha.

Before the lunch finished, I wanted dessert. After lunch...Well there wasn't much room left. So dessert waits till Friday! Oh I want Delicious' Chocolate Sundae it's just so chocolicious!!

Then I went home, fell asleep cause of the ubat batuk yang tidak sedap, then Mel called and told me not to sleep. But I can't help it! I went back to sleep then suddenly!

Mel was already on my back telling me to wake up. I slowly did. She took quite a while to start, but I had my first cake and blew my four candles. Yay!

Then after sesi tengok Biggest Loser finale and picit blackhead, came another surprise (well, almost). So long oh if mau cerita here. Haha. But anywho, I had my cake - although not bigger than the moon - with 20 candles on it, just like I wanted :) YAY!

Thank you you two, muah muah muah!

Can't wait to see Reggie for my delayed birthday hug!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes through SMS, Facebook, phone calls.

Thank you Mummy and Papa for semuaaaa and for being patient with m for TWENTY years (and counting)

Thank you adik-beradik, I know you people LOVE me.

and thank YOU, for making it happen, for giving me the 20 years that I have now.

XOXO,
Nazie d Twenty and 1 Hari.

Happy Birthday ME!

Please...

...NO MORE ASSIGNMENTS! for now.

Oh my. I'm so tired of doing things last minute. I can't seem to get rid of the habit, though. It's like I am Procrastination and Procrastination is Me.

If I do good by procrastinating, I'm sure I'll do EVEN BETTER if I start off early, no? Well I should think so.

Before anything else...LOLCATS! HAHA.

funny pictures of cats with captions

funny pictures of cats with captions

it's funneee! :D :D :D

Okay, so I'm not exactly free of assignments. Right now in my head is ... "Bah, suda la tu, go do your PR. Your Journalism drafts? Your News Reporting thingies? Plan for Photography? Prepare for Presentation Skills? Your STUDYING?" But la-di-da-di-da TA-DA! I'm still here.

Shit there's a zit on my face! And I'm facing MANY people tomorrow. GRRRHRRRHHRRR. (fyi, that sound can be made by grr-ing and breathing in and out loudly at the same time.)

Oh, last Saturday my classmates and I went for a trip to Bernama. I fed my at-that-moment hungry stomach with a little fried rice and cold nugget. Cis. At first it was cool...The fact that we actually had a field trip. Till we found out we were going with the school bus. The BIG ORANGE SCHOOL BUS. Luckily got air-cond.

So we arrived. The building was next to the National Library. Well dalam sikit lah. Got down the bus bla bla bla, we didn't even enter through the front door. We went through like...I don't know...Staff enterance? Got introduced to...What's his name, he's the something for Bernama. I couldn't hear 'cause I was at the back. Then we were told to go to the 3rd floor.

They had big lifts. And iklans of Bernama all over.

Okay then we arrived at the 3rd floor the Mr What's-his-name asked about 10 people to go with him. I was the 2nd batch to go in and watch the LIVE telecast of news from the control room. So...If you happened to watch the 10 a.m. news on Bernama (which I doubt any of you did), I was watching it happen! Eh wait...what? No, if you were watching Bernama at 10 a.m., I was in the control room watching how they made it happen! Eh...ya la!

Anyway...

So I found it cool and all that I actually got to see how a live news telecast gets done. Though I was only in the control room (I didn't know if we were allowed to take pictures, so I didn't...But it was all dark and had a lot of buttons and screens), and not in the studio itself. But it was cool. Like...We all pula nervous when the people started counting down to let the reader know they're going on air soon.

Then, we went to the Bilik Berita. I think it's called bilik berita. Or the office lah where they write their stuff and get their assignments from the assignments editors. It was how an office should look like, except with TV to watch news - from RTM1 and TV3. And little little rooms to do voice over recordings and video editing.

That was it. Followed by an hour plus of Q&A. In the office. Standing up. Zainul just couldn't stop asking questions. -_-

Then picture time! Then go hoooome. Wasn't as fun as I expected. I was expecting to explore more, talk less.

Mel and Nash. And Me! :D

Ernie, Ally, Zety

It's called PUSAT Berita! Not Bilik Berita teehee.

I look weird here, but ya. That's Ally!

Stella and Haze!

And other pictures of everybody else in Facebook :)

Next week Baby will be a month old! Wah! So fast! Happy 1 month birthday Babyyyy! I still don't get to see you till Raya. Please don't takut me.

Black Hawk Down (And Other Stories) Vol. 2

Part 1.5 continued.

Mel sticking out the Velcro windows. See! Got air-con!
now where was I?

oh yeah, ice breaking time!

So we went over to the Playground Area (the place to do all the activities. not playground Playground.) to start our ice breaking. We had a few very fun games, namely the Power Charge ( i think), then there was Bang Bang, then there was Warp Speed. All of which was sooooo funny! Haha.

I find it hard to verbally explain Power Charge. Cause like...susah. Anyway, I'll try. This game, requires us to like...bend our knees a lil. Like half-way to do a squat? then your hands with your fingers pointing front then you say "JUJUJUJUJUUJU" as fast as u can. Are you doing it? Or imagining it at least? Haha. When you're in this position and going "JUJUJUJU", you're charging. Kay so the game goes like this, a person will be in the middle of the circle, and everyone else in the circle just stands and waits till your name is being called or the person on the left or right of you gets called. Then when the person's name is called, he has to charge himself then the person to the left and the right of him charges him as well. Then the person yang mencharge diri tadi tu kan after he completes charging, he'll say any other person's name la anywhere around the circle. Whoever yang lambat kena calit muka with face paint! hahaha. When ada orang yang kena more than 3 times, EVERYONE gets to put one line on the person's face yang kalah!

She got calit-ed! By 30 people!

Did you understand? Haha. So in one way or another, we began to know everyone else's name. There were man Chinese students during the camp so after introducing ourselves we found it hard to remember this one particular side of a circle where most of the chinese guys were. Zainul joed around and just before Imara introduced herself Zainul went (in a typical Chinese accent - no offence.) "This is IMALA" then everyone just BURST into laughter. He was with his calm face and his curly big hair as if nothing had happened. Haha.

Zainul among the girls. Zainul's the one in the white shirt, in case you can't spot the man. Just kidding Zai ;)

Warp Speed is about figuring out how to pass the ball within your group mates in the fastest way possible. We did about 1+ second. The other team less than a second! How? Go figure :D

Bang Bang was a bit similar to Power Charge, except that when a person's name gets called, he immediately squats and the person to his left and right has to say the person on the opposite's name. Wait...am I getting this right?

Yang dicalit... Me-Imara-Mel

Anyway, in that game i got one face paint stripe cause I simply stumbled when I was about to say Mel's name. Then I got Mel back! Heeheee :D sorry Mel!

So then after that, we headed on to ROCK CLIMBING! It was gonna be the first time I've ever gone rock climbing and I was pretty excited. There were 3 walls to climb, and each wall had points. There was a 50 wall, the 100 wall, and the 200 wall, the level of difficulty increases with the score.

Nazie, Saqina, Mel, Imara, Nad

Joe and trainer Ajip.

Helmets! Safety first.

With many people lining up to do the 50 wall, lil me went up to do the 100! without even attempting the 50. Despite it being the 1st time i ever rock climbed, for the team, I went anyway.

The 50 Wall.

The 100 Wall...Part of it. Ajip climbing. He's fast!

the remaining of the 100 Wall. Ajip's there!

Saqina (in red) on the 200 wall and Ka Mun (in white) on the 100 wall.

Saqina's at the top!

it's really high.

And God, it was tiring. And REALLY high. But I made it! With the help of friends that told me where to put my feet la of course. After that all my energy was drained, I actually had a difficult time climbing up the 50 wall because of my short legs. Then again, thanks to my anchor and trainers, they lifted me up. Haha. I kinda wished I just tried climbing the 200. Oh well.

By sundown everyone was tired and was somewhat entertained by the "Korean Drama" that was going on.

So after that there was dinner. Then we lepak-ed bawah dorm. Then we went to sleeeeeep. ZzZZzzzZZ.

End of part 1! :D

That took me a while. Haha.

Things are hmm, prolly getting better now i suppose? Moving out of our beloved house early January. But rent will be 50 bucks higher - RM12.50 more for each. There goes 2 days of lunch money!

I was watching a video of JT (yes, JT, again) on youtube. Summer Love live. That performance was extremely hot. So very hot. Terlalu hot. He's just so sexy. I tell you, if ever he has a concert in Malaysia, I would go. No money after that pun never mind. How can you not? It's Justin!

Which reminds me, I want to make a new passport.

Mana la tau Justin goes to Singapore instead *winks* Haha.

Come dance with me baby! Dance till we go keraayyyzehh!
xoxo,
Naz.
